In association with Hohepa Auckland and Toi Ora Gallery we are thrilled to announce our first exhibition at Vic Park which has toured the country raising awareness of the lives of people with intellectual disability in New Zealand.

Take a moment with us is a free multimedia experience that introduces you to the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.

Using photographs and video the exhibition shows the reality of life for people with intellectual disability - the dreams, the loneliness, the talents and the sadness.

The people who feature in the exhibition are from all over New Zealand with different ages, backgrounds, cultures, interests and abilities. All have unique stories to tell about community, inclusion and disability, which have been captured in photographs and on video footage. Our exhibition will be featuring photographs of the Auckland participants and video footage when classes aren’t running inside.

Take a moment with us has been created, funded and managed by IHC New Zealand.

IHC’s mission is to advocate for the rights, inclusion and welfare of all people with an intellectual disability and support them to live satisfying lives in the community.
