School Holiday Programme at TAPAC

Circability will be teaching circus holiday programmes for two weeks at TAPAC in the upcoming holidays.

9-13 January &
23-27 January
9am - 3pm

This is a fun and challenging physical course that focuses on the techniques used by circus performers on the ground and in the air. Through physical warm-ups, acrobatics, tumbling and object manipulation, you will develop your motor skills, strength, flexibility and endurance, whilst having a great time.

There is no formal showing for this course, however you are welcome to join us in the studio from 2.30pm on the last day to see what they've been up to.

Teaching Artists will be Thomas Hinz and Sara Kidston

Circability’s lead teacher Thomas Hinz has extensive experience teaching circus both here and in Germany. He will take students on a journey through juggling, diabolo, spinning plates, tightwire, unicycle, globe and acrobatic postures. Thomas is a master at working with all ages and abilities and will challenge students of all levels. He is passionate about helping students find the best way of presenting their favourite skills at the end of the weeks programme.

Sara Kidston is a professional aerialist and contortionist with 5 years experience in the industry as a performer and teacher. Her passion was first found in Tapac where she began training aerial trapeze and went on to train, teach and perform worldwide.
Sara's most recent experience has seen her training at the Beijing International Arts School where she has gained an immense amount of new knowledge to share with her students!

Thomas and Sara will teach students a variety of circus skills like juggling, unicycle, diabolo, hula hoop, aerial, balancing and acrobatic postures. The circus school students will give an informal presentation of circus skills at 2.30pm each Friday afternoon to complete the course.
